Mies /miːs/

In 2020, Mies (previously Les Izmoor) was born in Milan to follow a singular mission: counter the overwhelming wave of overconsumption and overproduction in fashion.

Derived from the ancient term "mies" or "messim", Mies stands for the nurtured seed ready to be harvested. It symbolizes the philosophy that good things require patience and care. The name also pays tribute to Mies van der Rohe, pioneer designer of the less is more concept.

Every thread woven into Mies echoes the ethos of less is more. This mantra guides the brand; its designs, values and processes; to offer pieces that are versatile, timeless and created with the highest care possible.

Soft Power in Every Stitch

Mies stands as a beacon of quiet confidence, offering an exclusive wardrobe that is adaptable, graceful, and intergenerational.

Our pieces are crafted with an architectural mindset, with every prototype reworked repeatedly until reaching the desired outcome. This process ensures that each garment can seamlessly adapt to different body types and styles, embodying a commitment to both form and function.

The brand's distinctive silhouette remains unmistakably recognizable, marked by a flowy, feminine, and organic touch

Editions Beyond Seasons

In a commitment to combat overconsumption and overproduction, Mies defies the idea of fixed calendars.

The brand believes in taking the necessary time to create products that withstand the test of time. Therefore, the editions are not constrained by unit quantities or set timelines. Instead, they are released when considered ready, following a pre-order method to adapt production to the actual demand.

With limited quantities based on the amount of available fabric, each edition is unique. This slower approach helps in minimizing waste and adapting the supply chain.

European craftsmanship guarantees impeccable construction, ensuring quality and functional beauty that transcends seasons. Read more here.
