A letter from THE FOUNDER
The seed of Mies (previously Les Izmoor) was planted in 2020, during a pause from my corporate fashion career. Despite my love for the field, I realized it didn't fully align with my values.
The industry's relentless pace, promoting excess, left me questioning deeply. How can we promote sustainability while promoting such extensive production and consumption?
The solution seems simple: produce less. Yet, making this change is difficult, especially for established brands pressured by industry demands for specific collections and quantities, with uncertain sales.
As consumers, we often buy more but wear less, driven by artificial needs, ever-changing trends and an overwhelming abundance of options.
So, among a sea of brands, one might wonder - why launch yet another?
Emerging brands, free from the current system's constraints, have a unique chance to rewrite the rules.
Fashion will endure, and it's vital for newcomers to redefine industry norms. Mies is part of this change.
Producing based on actual demand, our focus is on fewer, thoughtfully designed products launched at a slower pace, emphasizing timelessness, versatility, and high-quality.
Three years ago, I took a leap, wondering if this new approach to fashion would resonate with consumers. To my immense joy, our vision came to life, touching the hearts of many amazing, like-minded women!
This positive response has been a clear signal, a green light confirming we're on the right path and, encouraged by this, we're taking the next step!
As we expand into new markets, we sow the seeds of our vision even deeper, introducing our cherished best-sellers , alongside different exclusive editions of garments (and more!). These editions, smaller than collections, will consist of exclusive pieces following our made-to-order concept.
Our name has changed, but our essence remains rooted in the values that have guided us from the beginning. As we navigate this growth phase, we remain committed to upholding these principles from which our brand blossomed.
